Ana Ivanovska’s installations investigate the oneness and interconnectedness of all things in nature. Her visual language is based upon aesthetics and symbolism of primary geometrical forms. Symbols and their psychological meaning feature heavily on her work as well as the myth as a spiritual system of symbolic representation with different meanings and levels. She is concerned with spatial concepts of art, with work that transforms the gallery space and imposes visual impression upon the spectator. Selected solo exhibitions include Celebrating Infinity, Embassy of Macedonia Gallery, Paris, France, 2014; and Video Project, MC Gallery, New York City, 2009. Group exhibitions: Without Borders, Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Haus Wittgenstein, Vienna, Austria, 2011; Global Village, international traveling exhibition (Project 072, Alkmaar, Netherlands; Kulturhuset Bronden, Copenhagen, Denmark; Sully Castle, Bourgogne, France), 2012; and Paratissima, International Contemporary Art Fair, Youth Cultural Center, Skopje, 2015. She was representative of Macedonia in the VII Francophone Games – Nice, France (2013). She has participated in residencies in Paris, France at “Cite Internationale des Arts” (2014) and in Schloss Laudon Vienna Austria( 2011), in addition to ISCP (2009). She is a member of Association of Artists of Macedonia (2006), one of the founders of the art group and space Art I.N.S.T.I.T.U.T. (2009 – 2011) and the group “MOMI” (2012). She is the manager of her company “Creative Puzzle” (2014) and has status as Independent Artist (Ministry of Culture) since 2015.
