Irgin Sena was born in Albania and lives and works in New York. In 2008 and 2012-13 he was an artist in residency at International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP), NY. In 2012 he was awarded the MARIAN NETTER Award and in 2007 the ARDHJE Award for Contemporary Art, in Albania. Irgin has participated in Prospectif Cinéma, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France; Multiplicity, Invisible Exports Gallery, New York, NY; Qui Vive, International Moscow Biennial for Young Art in (Moscow) and New Insight, curated by Susanne Ghez (Chicago). His work has been shown at the National Gallery of Art and the National Museum, Tirana, Albania; Futura- Center For Contemporary Art in (Prague); and at Badischer-Kunstverein in Karlsruhe, (Germany). His 2016 solo show, 21 fiftytwo (the day after), was held at Fresh Windows Gallery, Brooklyn, NY.
