Krasimira is a visual artist, writer and educator based between London, UK and Sofia, Bulgaria. In her practice and research, the artist explores human rights, social injustice, political violence, traumatic memory, official and unofficial history in relation to Eastern Europe through moving image, photography, installation and writing. In 2021 she was a recipient of the artist fellowship at the Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, Germany. Krasimira is an associate lecturer at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. She is also a lecturer at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham and the University of Portsmouth.

She is a curator of the archive and program of History in Between, and is one of the co-founders of Revolv Collective, an organization exploring alternative methods for teaching and creating photography through exhibitions, events and collaborations. In addition, she is the former editor of eep magazine focusing on contemporary photography from Eastern Europe. Academic articles include “Vernacular Memorial Museums: Memory, Trauma and Healing in Post-communist Bulgaria”, published in 2022 by the Museums & Social Issues Journal. Her latest interview is published in Capital newspaper.
