Artan Hajrullahu

Brief info

Artan Hajrullahu's work is preoccupied with themes of everyday life and nostalgia. The drawings depict scenes of quotidian scenes and memories of the artist's childhood, where the relationship between human beings and household objects tell poetic stories. His work has been shown in solo exhibitions at the National Museum of History in Tirana, 2006; Kosovo Gallery of Arts, Pristina, 2010; Bajraktari, Tetris, Prishtina, 2011; and Tulla Culture Center in Tirana, 2015. Select group exhibitions include: Artist of Tomorrow, Pristina, KS, 2013; National Gallery of Macedonia “Mala Stanica,”2014; Collectif Denface, Rouen-France, 2015; G12HUB Art Gallery, Belgrade, 2015; This Is Not a Palm Tree, Neurotitan Gallery, Berlin, 2015; Center Sodobnih Umetnosti, Celje, Slovenia, 2016. In 2013 he was awarded the Kosovo Artist of Tomorrow Award and the Artist of the Year, Gjilan.
