Dominik Lang is a Czech sculptor. His installation Sleeping City presented the Czech Republic at the 54th Venice Biennial. In his installations, he rethinks the modernist tradition, combining it with contemporary modes of presentation. Besides exhibiting artworks, he is also aware of their spatial connections so that the exhibition mode becomes part of the game. In 2013, he won the Jindřich Chalupecký Award for Young Artists in the Czech Republic. Currently, he teaches at the Academy of Art, Architecture, and Design in Prague.
