Erik Sikora

Brief info

Erik Sikora is a self-described citizen, father, artist, songwriter, and rural alien. He brainstorms and deconstructs his life experiences to the smallest details and then enhances them through forms and practices such as vlogging, “startupist” projects and/or “pechakuchatedxer” poetry and performances.

His work is included in the permanent collections of the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín and Gallery Kutná Hora in Kutná Hora, both in the Czech Republic. Sikora studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Czech Republic, and is pursuing a PhD from the Faculty of Arts at Technical University Košice, Slovakia, around authenticity and modes of interaction in a Post Internet society.

Erik Sikora's residency is made possible with support from The Oskár Čepan Award.

Cultural exchange programs between the US and Central and Eastern Europe since 1990
