Markéta Othová

Brief info

Born in 1968 Education 1987-1993 Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague Markéta Othová deals exclusively with black-and-white photography, creating series of photographs arranged in a sort of a row or grid. She enlarges her photographs manually on classic large-sized photographic paper which she does not adjust. The formal simplicity is also retained in her photographing technique, as the depicted images are concrete (streets, still lives, houses) but their message is incomprehensible, mysterious. The series of photographs create both external (image) and internal (content) associations. Web:
