Renea Begolli is the winner of the Artist of Tomorrow Award 2023 organized by Stacion CCA in Pristina.

Renea Begolli is a visual artist and researcher based in Pristina, Kosovo. Her artistic work explores intimacy, gender, memory, isolation, body, spaces, ecological and social issues, primarily expressed through paintings, drawings, installations, and video art. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Painting at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prishtina. In 2021, she completed the same program for her Bachelor’s Degree and studied at Bournemouth University, BA (Hons) in Sociology and Social Anthropology during a one-semester exchange with Erasmus+.

From September to October 2023, Renea worked as a Curatorial Assistant for the Kyiv Biennial Vienna 2023 as part of the Artist-in-Residence program at MuseumsQuartier in Vienna. From 2020 to 2023, she worked as a researcher and archivist at the Oral History Initiative . Additionally, in 2022, she served as a program coordinator and co-curator for Kosovo at Secondary Archive. Renea’s most recent artistic/research project, Mothers of War, was created in collaboration with fellow artist Luiza Thaqi. It concluded with the exhibition, Say to Remember Me, So We Won’t Forget, curated by the Humanitarian Law Center Kosovo, at the Documentation Center Kosovo (2023 – 2024).

In February 2023, Renea held a solo show Pragu (Doorstep), curated by Yll Xhaferi at Qahili Gallery in Pristina, Kosovo. Her works have been exhibited in several collective exhibitions, including: Visual Arts Pavilion at Varg e Vi, Gjilan (2022); Hybrids in Sight, at Termokiss, Pristina (2022); Art during Pandemic: Based on a true story curated by Gazmend Ejupi at the National Gallery of Kosovo (2021); Breathe curated by Berat Bajrami at FemArt Festival, Kosovo (2021); New Year, New Artists, New Hopes at the Europe House (2021); Additions curated by Blerta Hoçia in Prishtina, Mitrovica (2020).
