Slobodan Stošić

Brief info

Slobodan Stošić's practice is context-responsive and suspended between the history and presence, personal and official narratives, between the public and private sphere, where art should establish questions and proposals leading to changing interpretations and different ways of approaching political hegemonies. Created narratives are a reflection of a social fiction and they question the responsibility of an image and need to react to the existing state. Recent exhibitions include: Material Light, curated by Allan Parker, Kochi Muziris Biennale, Kerala, IND; Divigation, curated by Meyken Barreto, Y Gallery, New York, USA; The One Who Became the Color on a Flag, curated by Omar Lopez- Chahoud and Slobodan Stošić, Anya and Andrew Shiwa gGallery New York, USA; Blasted, curated by Zara Audiello, Beton7, Athens, GRE; Several Circles, curated by Marco Antonini, EFA Project Space, New York, NY, USA; Imaginary Friends, curated by Chelsea Haines, Interstate project, New York, NY, USA
